AccuWeather introduces the industry's first 7-day local forecast for television.

AccuWeather is named the official weather forecaster for the Winter Olympics at Lake Placid, NY.

AccuWeather launches worldwide forecast services and begins transmitting weather data and text directly to newspapers' typesetting computers.

AccuWeather pioneers the electronic delivery of complete weather pages for newspapers and air-ready satellite, radar, and weather graphics for television.

In recognition of AccuWeather’s 30th anniversary celebration, November 15, 1992 was proclaimed AccuWeather Day in Pennsylvania.

AccuWeather.com launches AccuWeather.com and Local Cable Weather™, a turnkey weather programming solution for cable channels.

AccuWeather founder Dr. Joel N. Myers is recognized as one of the greatest entrepreneurs in American history in Entrepreneur Magazine’s Encyclopedia of Entrepreneurs.

AccuWeather opens the doors to a new 52,000 sq. ft. global headquarters in State College, Pennsylvania.

AccuWeather begins services to PDAs and cell phones, and the one billionth free page is accessed on AccuWeather.com.

The 24/7 AccuWeather Channel™ is introduced and the ABC Television Group becomes the first customer to sign up for the service.

AccuWeather becomes the first weather company to receive the ESRI Special Achievement in GIS Award for our innovative use of GIS (geographic information systems).

AccuWeather is recognized by Congressional Committee for warning the public of Katrina’s threats to New Orleans a full 12 hours before the National Hurricane Center.

AccuWeather expands its advertising sales operations with a new office at Rockefeller Center in Manhattan and begins providing weather for the New York Times.

StoryTeller+™, an interactive touchscreen system that enhances the television newsroom experience, is introduced. StoryTeller+ is currently being used in 14 of the top 15 U.S. television markets.

AccuWeather launches first-of-its-kind 45-day forecast. (AccuWeather was also first to introduce detailed 5-day, 7-day, 10-day, 15-day, 25-day, 30-day, and 90-day forecasts.)

AccuWeather announces historic Joint Venture with Huafeng Media Group, the commercial weather media company owned by the China Meteorological Administration, for the exclusive distribution of weather information in China.

Independent ForecastWatch analysis of 30 million forecasts names AccuWeather the world's most accurate source of weather forecasts and warnings.
